Lez

Woof! Woof! Lez was excited to do the obstacle course. Cleo’s dad introduced Lez. “Lez is a gigantic dog, with burly brown eyes and dusky fur”. Quinn said, “Are you ready Lez?” Lez barked.
Leaping over the long dog jump, Lez was smiling at everyone. Smelling his tasty biscuits, he sat down carefully in the hula hoop. Walking slowly to the amber bridge, Lez safely landed on the bridge daintily. Cruising to the last part of the obstacle course, Lez heard people saying, “Let's go Lez!”
Putting the soft leash down on the sandy ground, Quinn called out to Lez. He ran as fast as lightning. Lez deserved a treat and a brilliant clap. Lez darted off the obstacle course quickly.

Wet and Wild World

Skipping quickly up the stairs, Rhys picked a room wildly. “I’m having this one!” she said. The next day, my door opened soundlessly. Mum called out loudly, “Breakfast”.
I ate breakfast quickly because we were going to Wet and Wild World. Rhys and I scuttled swiftly to the car.
When we arrived, I ran powerfully inside. The path by the slide giggled, “This ride”.
After a couple of rides, I ran clumsily to the car, dizzy from twirling around. “Would you go down that ride?”
Later that day, we flew home safely.

Little Red Riding Hood

We have been learning to use present participles in our writing.
Skipping to her Grandma's house, Little Red Riding Hood met a drab wolf. “Well, I’m on my way, bye."
Rattling on the amber door, the bristly wolf opened it. He had an idea. He got changed into grandma’s pyjamas, and jumped into bed.
I bought you some divine cookies, Grandma,” Little Red Riding Hood remarked, then she commented, “What bulky ears you have."
"They are better to hear with. RRRR!”

A man came in and killed the wolf.

Sports Day

We have been learning to use present participles in our writing.
Coming out from behind the creamy white clouds, the sun shone reaching its endless rays out.
Warming up with my friends, I threw the ball well. Running into my position, we got ready to play.
The whistle blew. I shouted. “Piper over here!” but the other team caught it.

Helping defend the ball, I nearly caught it.

A Cold Day

One cold morning, I got up and put on my wet weather gear to go out in the cold. When I got out in the freezing air, I saw frosted grass and slippery concrete. The concrete was waiting for the sun to defrost it. BRR! I ran back inside.
I got into my togs and jumped into the spa. Rhys and I played with the bubbles. Later on, my cousins came over. They hopped in the spa too.

A little later, we had lunch. For lunch, we had chicken nuggets and chips. We got to help make the chips and nuggets.

Autumn

I don't really like autumn because I get cold and sick
autumn means that summers gone and
winter is nearly here.

BY KRUZ

Well done, Kruz. In poems, all lines begin with a capital letter, so -

I don't really like autumn because I get cold and sick.
Autumn means that Summer's gone and
Winter is nearly here.

Jack Frost

The door was shut, as doors should be.
Before you went to bed last night;
Yet Jack Frost has got in, you see,
and left your windows silver white.
He must have waited till you slept;
and not a single word he spoke,
but pencilled o'er the panes
and crept away again before you woke.

The Frog

T
Splish! Splash! The water leaked down onto the frog's umbrella boat. All the petals are littered on the dark water. The bright  yellow petals cruised down the stream. The stalk is held by the slimy frog. The stalk is poked into a twig. A frog is slimy and it is making its way down the stream. The boat has been made out of a green leaf and a twig.

Ducklings

Cheep! Cheep! John heard  a strange noise. he wondered what it was.
He got out of his car. He quietly looked around until something was peeping out of the gap of the hedge. Suddenly eleven fluffy ducklings appeared.
They were lost. John looked around for Mother Duck, then he  caught sight of Mother Duck. The ducklings were cheeping.
‘’Quack! Quack!’’ said Mother Duck. John was glad the ducklings had found their mother. Mother Duck led her babies safely back to the duck pond five of the ducklings got stuck on the curb-side so again John helped them get up one by one.

Swimming Sports

On Thursday,  we were walking to the pools, I was being a Big Chatterbox.
A little later when we were there I raced down the steep hill and straight into the changing room.
When I was changed Mia and I were told to go and  sit with our house groups, then we said our chants. St Anthony was the  loudest.
After a while it was finally time for the fun to begin. watched the races until it was my turn to race I started with free style. Lavinia came first in free style then it was back stroke.
I kicked as hard as I could and suddenly I won, then it was time for nine year old to twelve year olds to do 4 lengths in the deep pool. I got bored for a while, then it was breast stroke,I didn't want to do it because it looked silly.
After a while Dad came with some scrumptious lunch. A couple of minutes ago, it was time for another lot of lengths. I was shouting out Go St Francis''.
After it went down to 8 year olds. Just then it was the ball race in the deep pool,it was getting really exciting. the rule's were put the ball inside your hands that means your hands are together. The people who were doing the ball race's got dry with out a towel cause it was hot and sunning, the water was sparkling like diamonds. Next was the flying squadron, then it was time to have some free time it was fun I bombed and dived of the big pool side, then we had to hop out and get changed and went back to school.

Practiced straight streamlines,Urban showed us then we got the hang of it. Then we tried backstroke, it was a bit hard I  bumped into people. After, we did diving from one side to the other. Holly asked if we could do a bomb, our teacher said maybe the end. Anyway, the teacher threw a toy into the pool and she said we had to get it Urban grabbed the toy first. Then we got to bomb then we got changed and went back to school.
